Daiwa wrote in its research report that after its recent meetings with investors, it found XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), BABA-W (09988.HK) (BABA.US), MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), BIDU-SW (09888.HK) (BIDU.US), and TENCENT (00700.HK) were among the most frequently discussed stocks, and investors generally focused on the AI theme. Although global funds had a low holding ratio in Chinese internet stocks, most investors still saw limited likelihood of a significant shift to overweight in the short term, Daiwa added. The broker reiterated its positive outlook on the Chinese internet industry, with top picks being TENCENT, BABA-W, SEA (SE.US), and TRIP.COM-S (09961.HK) (TCOM.US), all rated as Buy. It was also optimistic about BIDU-SW and Pinduoduo (PDD.US). While viewing BIDU-SW, Pinduoduo, KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK), and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) (BILI.US) as their tactical buying options, investors would also pay attention to JD-SW (09618.HK)'s earnings recovery turning point, Daiwa pointed out.
